First questionQuestion: I bought a Hanoverian broodmare 3months ago. She has great conformation and an awesome attitude. The last owner said she had a stifle injury and could not be ridden. But after 5 months of feeding her MSM, glucosamine and herbs she seemed as good as gold, galloping around her 5 acre paddock like a lunatic with her paddock mate ( A donkey). So I began to lightly hack her and do ground work on her. I did notice after she was mildly lame in the paddock (sound again within 8 hours) The question is is there anything I can do to fix her injury permanently?
Anon, the first thing you need to do is find out exactly what injury she had, and when.
Go back to the old owner and see what info he/she has. If appropriate, see if you can get veterinary notes and opinions, including x-rays from the vet involved. You will need the okay from the old owner to get these, but as they were obviously open with respect to the injury in the first place, I would not expect this to be a major
five hour energyi suppose
last week was only an aftershock
of the earthquake you were before.
this place used to vibrate
with metal strings and melodic,
testimonies to life,
emitting coffee-scented moods
and the burn of it too.
i had memorized the
sounds of silence,
i couldn't help but relish it.
no longer had i known
the sounds of folk
and scent of mocha-
you became nothing more
than an echo of the laughter
i so desperately needed to hear again.
then the echoes got louder,
bouncing ferociously off the walls
to be made manifest
i walked into your room
expecting exactly what i found-
an unmade bed,
and an empty beer
(the one that you insisted you needed
just days ago).
i pressed my nose
into the pillow
for incense and cologne and starbucks
to penetrate my mind
and thinking fervently
i already know
what a clean sheet smells like."
how strong an aftershock can be,
